Krohn-Hite: over 75 years of Innovation in Electronic Test Equipment

Krohn-Hite proudly celebrates over 75 years as a trusted manufacturer of electronic test equipment, delivering solutions for a wide range of applications with superior performance and reliability.

The company’s journey began in 1949 with the introduction of the Model 410A, an ultra-low frequency, ultra-low distortion oscillator. This innovation set the stage for decades of advancement. In the years that followed, Krohn-Hite earned a reputation as an industry pioneer by introducing several “firsts” in electronic instrumentation:

  • 1950: the first ultra-low variable frequency filter
  • 1952: the first pushbutton oscillator spanning 0.001 Hz to 100 kHz
  • 1954: the first ultra-low distortion 50-watt amplifier
  • 1958: the first direct-coupled power amplifier operating from DC to 1 MHz

From the beginning, Krohn-Hite embraced a clear philosophy: design and build
instruments that combine exceptional performance and reliability with practical value for its customers. This commitment became known as the company’s “Standard of Value.”

Today, every Krohn-Hite product is designed and tested with that same “Standard of Value” to the highest standards, ensuring accuracy and dependability—even in the most demanding environments. That extra level of reliability is what engineers, researchers, and manufacturers have counted on for over 75 years—and what continues to set Krohn-Hite apart.

Krohn-Hite: Innovation that lasts. Reliability you can trust.
