GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Model 4503 is a remotely controlled (GPIB) AC voltage reference system for applications with automatic test equipment.  It is a highly versatile reference source, designed to meet the needs of  computer system production line testing, ATE systems and standards laboratories.  The unit is also  calibrated with equipment traceable to the National Institute of Standards & Technology.  The 4503  is overload and short circuit protected and is fully operational in normal environmental conditions.

Basis for Accuracy Statement: The statement includes all peripheral, additive specifications (errors for line and load changes, ambient temperature changes and stability are included in the accuracy statement and are designated “non-additive”). Thus, this instrument may be used under minimally controlled environment and unmonitored conditions.

PROGRAMMING
Manual Control and Display: All functions may be controlled manually (“local”). A single front panel switch controls the “remote/local” mode without disconnecting the program lines. The 4503 will continue to accept and store all up-dated program commands while set in the “local” mode. The displays indicate the status of the instrument in either the “local” or “remote” modes depending on the mode selected.
Remote Programming Subsets (IEEE-488.1, GPIB Interface): SH1, AH1, T6, L4, SR1, RL0, PP2, DC0, DT0 and E1.
Programming Format: Integrated microprocessor GPIB interface.
